As the
holidays approach, and you visit friends
and spend time with your family, please
enjoy this special season – but make
sure you do it safely. You are valued
members of Texas Wing and I am proud of
the many good works you have done during
2009. I certainly hope you'll be back
rested, refreshed, and ready to continue
your valuable volunteer service to your
communities and Nation in 2010.
During this
year, that in a few days will come to an
end, Texas Wing has achieved many
successes in all of our mission areas.
We have adapted to a large number of
changes. We have made significant
progress in creating a culture of safety
and a culture of accountability.
Throughout
the year, senior members and cadets
alike have done their share, presenting
Texas Wing in its best possible light to
the rest of Civil Air Patrol, doing a
great job at home, working with and
assisting other wings, and working with
National Headquarters. I thank you for
your willingness to volunteer, to go the
extra mile, and above all for doing your
best.
I am very
proud to be a member of the Texas Wing.
I thank you for your volunteer service
and dedication to the missions of Civil
Air Patrol.
