A NEW YEAR MESSAGE FROM THE WING
COMMANDER
As we move into
2012, are you making the same
resolutions you made last year? I almost
did that, and then I realized I would be
wasting that time – again. This year I’m
going to be making declarations! A
declaration is a positive, explicit,
statement avowing your intent to OWN
that thought. This year I declare my
intention to make sure that I approach
each day in CAP with a positive
attitude. I declare my intention to
search out motivated Texas Wing members
in order to be sure that their
motivation doesn’t fade and that it
permeates their unit and becomes a part
of their organizational culture. I
declare that I will remember the reasons
I joined CAP and will bring that passion
to everything I do. I declare… that I
still want to get healthier, take time
for myself and learn to skydive…but
there’s still next year to do those
things, right?
May you all have a
2012 filled with a renewed passion for
our great organization, the motivation
to handle those missions with
professionalism and the strength to
maintain a positive attitude that lifts
your spirits and allows you to soar
SAFELY into 2012.
