Ladies and
Gentlemen;
As you know, CAPR 123-1 states, "Region
and wing inspectors general must have completed the Civil Air Patrol
Inspector General College. A commander may appoint an inspector
general who has not completed the biennial Civil Air Patrol
Inspector General College; however, the appointed inspector general
must attend the next scheduled Civil Air Patrol Inspector General
College." As previously announced, the next Civil Air Patrol
Inspector General College is scheduled for 6-12 June 2010 at
Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque, NM. We hope that all of the Wing and
Region IGs that have not received this valuable training are
planning to attend.
IGs needing to attend this course must
have completed the 2-day IG Senior Level Training Course prior to
the College. There are two of these courses currently scheduled
between now and June. Information on these courses may be viewed on
the IG Education/Training page at
http://www.capmembers.com/cap_national_hq/inspector_general/educationtraining.cfm.
We also encourage Commanders, Vice
Commanders and Legal Officers to join us if their schedules permit.
We have been able to hold the tuition
this year to $50, which includes the cost of the banquet. We have
also secured on-base quarters in an effort to keep the costs to a
minimum. Even so, it would be helpful if the Wing and Region
Commanders could help finance their IG's expenses for the college.
Anyone interested in attending should
contact Becky Lee at NHQ, who is our registrar. Details about the
college can be seen at
http://www.capmembers.com/cap_national_hq/inspector_general/cap_inspector_general_college.cfm.
This year's program is going to have a lot more practical
application work as part of the curriculum.
If anyone has any questions or needs
additional planning information, please let me know.
Gerry
Gerald M. Rosenzweig, Inspector
General Administrator, NHQ
